Hi friends, since I hurt my leg a while ago I’ve put on some weight and once again I thought of Kiyonna Clothing. Actually the clothing is made for size 10 and up so I still could have worn the clothing while thinner. But, as I am sure some of you know, it is so very hard to find clothing that is both pretty and flattering in larger sizes, well Kiyonna’s Plus Size Clothing perfectly fills those requirements.
And now that the Seasons are changing and especially with Weddings coming up it’s time to freshen up the wardrobe again, so I thought I would post a little something from Kiyonna for you, in case you are looking for something flattering and new for your wardrobe.
Oh and yes, this “Smitten Lace Top” (below), is so lovely in any of the colors they offer…I just love lace, don’t you?
Dress it up, dress it down, but no matter how you style it, the Smitten Lace Top from Kiyonna is destined to become your go-to top for every look!
With ruching all along the torso, this top will flatter and hug all of your fabulous curves. It is lined except for the high sheer neckline, which has a skin tone mesh behind the lace to hide your bra and give you a little more coverage. The sheer lace sleeves fall at about your elbow and are sexy with added room for comfort as well.
Five ways to style the Smitten Lace Top:
1. Pair the Smitten Lace Top with a floral pencil skirt for the perfect casual office look.
2. Go bold with the Smitten Lace Top paired with white ankle pants and nude heels for an everyday look that can go everywhere.
3. A sleek, solid pencil skirt with the Smitten Lace Top goes from office to evening with ease.
4. The Smitten Lace Top looks fantastic worn completely casual with jeans, heels and a great statement necklace – perfect for movie night.
5. And finally, the Smitten Lace Top and the Twirling in Tulle Skirt work together magically for a look that is ideal for a night on the town.
What is your favorite way to style Kiyonna’s Smitten Lace Top?

I cannot model this beauty as unfortunately. Although I measured for it and observed the size suggestions on this beauty, it came too small. I ordered according to my size and measurements, but the measurements and size chart appear to be off. And here I thought that the sizing, being XL sounded too big, since in ladies tops I wear a medium or if tight around the chest and not stretchy I then wear a large to compensate for my bust. With this corset I didn’t need to worry about the bust, just the under-bust measurement, waist and for the heck of it I measured the hips, though the Corset doesn’t go to my hips at all, as it rests just above the hip.
Anyway, I promised Tmart and the wonderfully patient people there, that I would run a review for them and so here it is.
The Corset came packaged in an large envelope and at first I was worried as to how it held up in shipping. Opening it up, the quality of the Corset and the panty that came with it was, to my surprise, even more lovely than the pictures on their website! The Corset held up just fantastic in shipping as the boning was not brittle and there were no breaks of the boning to be found.
Upon examining the product for this Corset Review, I found the stitch-work on this Corset was fantastic and the quality of the satin material is nice and thick. This Corset is perfect for a sweet deal such as the prices are at Tmart. The Corset is beautifully lined. The boning is sewn into the Corset secure. Upon feeling above the boning there are no sharp edges to poke you while wearing this beauty. The front closures of the corset lock nicely, upon inspection.
I tried to get into the corset and realized that, even after loosening the lacing, the area where you cinch the corset up (would be the waist area, ideally) was too high up. And that the corset, although fully loosened needed to have more ribbon as the corset is too small. Both of these things mean that I had to relace the corset to get the best corsetry size wise (to compensate for the rib cage area) and so I can set the loops (that you pull to tighten the corset) at the proper waist line area.
My Recommendations, with this Corset:
1: For better lacing, that won’t slip when more tightly cinched (the satin ribbon does slip and sites online will even tell you that for serious lacing, you need to get away from the ribbon for lacing). The alternative lacings, to replace the satin ribbon, do tend not to be as pretty as the satin lacing is. So for decorative over-wear and for light corseting, go with this lovely lace… or how about a contrasting lace to go with the outfit underneath. Red satin would be fun, don’t you think?
2: If you change your lacing or need to add to it, do a search online and find out how to properly lace up your corset. This is my favorite How To Lace a Corset post (I found this after I realized I was lacing mine wrong). If you decide to go with some additional satin ribbon to lace up your corset, use a match or lighter and scorch the end of the ribbon so that the ribbon doesn’t fray on you.
3: If you don’t have help cinching up the corset, look online for some nice videos that show you how to self cinch the corset. There are some great instructions that you will find online
I love the fact that this Corset has nice flexible boning in it. When I tried it on (without the laces done up correctly), I didn’t notice the boning coming out of any seams (like some not well made corsets may have), nor did the boning poke at me anywhere. The boning is flexible yet strong enough to help hold you beautifully when you cinch the Corset up.
When ordering a Corset through Tmart, I do recommend that you go up a size, if your measurements are on the upper side of the measurement table, as the items are made a bit small. This way you may actually wear this beautiful Corset as a ready to wear item, without changes.
I am so sorry that I cannot model this for you, as it doesn’t fit… and saddened that I cannot currently wear the corset.
Yes I would! What I love about many of their offerings is that they could easily go above or under your clothing! The quality of the corset is much better than I expected for a product that is so reasonably priced!
My only disappointment, is a big one for me, but a lesson learned that I can pass on to you… It was just the wrong size, so please listen to my advice as to measuring for the corset, if you are at the upper part of the measurement chart for your sizing, please just go up one size and I bet your corset will arrive ready to wear right out of the mailbox! 🙂
I thank Tmart for being so patient and for intrusting me with the review of their corset.

Hi friends, here is a special that is good until the 19th from Kiyonna, just click on the picture below and use the Code: PRESIDENTS
You may recall, I’ve been drooling over their products for a while now, the sizes are size 10 and up… plus sizes my friends and their are some styles, that this avid viewer of What Not To Wear, sees as highly flattering on any figure.
Show off those curves and enjoy some special savings. I have yet to decide what I want to save up for, unfortunately. But I am seriously thinking of posting pictures of myself and what I am drooling over and having you all vote on what I should get for myself. Maybe I will post a picture of myself with it later, after I purchase it to. So you can help me play dress up, I have a little trip in mind soon, with my parents up to their 1 week Condo stay for my birthday and I would love to look pretty… maybe I will run into a Celebrity or 2 on my stay in Vale… wouldn’t that be nice?
Or maybe you can plot to have the team from What Not to Wear meet me up there? *giggle* Nah, just kidding… I don’t want secret footage of myself, I really don’t dress up much as I cannot afford much, since I’ve been disabled with chronic pain since 1991 and my husband has been disabled with pain and injured back for about 6 years now. I bet I look like a homeless person a lot, I need to really start sewing some clothing with my patterns and materials and post those projects here. lol
Okay, alas I have once again rambled… can you tell the weather is changing here and suddenly my pain level has gone up? 😛 Well it is and I am…
Love and hugs,
