Big Ouchies for Men Skinny Dipping in the News

Hi folks, have you been skinny dipping lately? Me? Well I always wanted to, but wouldn’t dare, the couple of times I was invited. lol Okay, seriously now, it’s been a while since I posted anything from the News other than recalls related to my readers health. This time I am posting about another health risk, okay death warning.

News Boy with animated words "EXTRA"My husband told me about this story this morning and he posted about it on his blog (the link to his post is near the bottom on this post). This news story made me cringe and shocked me… and the story was very upsetting to my husband imagining this terrifying death to skinny dipping men.

Pacu fish TeethThere is a fish in the news that was native to South America, it’s called the Pacu Fish. These fish are related to Piranha (but much larger than the Piranha growing up to 55 lbs). The Pacu likes to eat coconuts that falls from the trees. Well, it’s been found in the US now, as people put their “pet” fish, for whatever reason into our lakes. Well, these teeth on the fish look human and they have killed some men who skinny dip!

Well, I guess the Coconuts and ummm for the lack of a better word (and very appropriate for this post) ummm… they look at “nuts” and mistaken them for their favorite eats! The men attacked by these fish have bled to death. Can you imagine? YIKES!

mens chainmail thongHere is the thoughts and perspectives on this from “The Old Fat Man“, my husband, and I thought you may enjoy reading his post. 🙂 The Old Fat Man, recommends chain-mail thongs, and I think that, if you must swim naked men, I’d recommend a good shave… perhaps would help. I found the picture below while looking for 2 coconuts side by side for this post and I started ROFL, so I had to include it here (below).

Improve Your Smile with Componeers -Less Expensive Than Veneers & Done In One Day!

I recently was introduced to a new product called “Componeers” by a representative, who sent me some information on the product, and I chose to share this with you because it just sounded so terrific! Yes I did not receive anything in exchange for this post, I just was so very excited when I learned about this new proceedure. What are Componeers and what do they have to do with making your teeth attractive? And why would I be excited enough to share it with you?

Componeers are applied to your front teeth. The Componeers where introduced first in Switzerland and are a new to the US, however there are nearly a thousand dentists that us Componeers in the US today (I am sure the number is growing all the time). What a wonderful way to achieve a beautiful smile, think of them as something like a false fingernail, that are bonded to your teeth. I am so excited as these are, less expensive than porcelain veneers (actually Componeers, are generally less than half the price of veneers!) And they are like a makeover that is all done in one visit to your dentists office, Veneers take more time.

A Chip Tooth Repaired by Componeers

As for any concerns that I would have with having this sort of procedure done in a dentists office, I have done extensive reading on Componeers. I found that the adhesion to your teeth is much better than veneers as well, since they have a special “micro-retentive surface” on the Componeers and they are stress resistant as well. The resistance to abrasion is also better than the natural tooth and they are very stain-resistant too.

The Componeers help with crooked teeth, covering discoloration, old dental work, even chipped teeth! I would love to save up money for this procedure, since I get more bang for the buck, almost instant results, it’s like a make over in one sitting with hardly any changes to your natural teeth in most cases.

Discolored Teeth Brightened with Componeers

I love the idea of Componeers, I am a freak of nature as when I was about 15 (or so) I lost an adult tooth in front, which you can imagine as a teen it was highly traumatic… the strange thing is I could feel that I lost it because a 3rd (or second adult tooth) was growing in. That one tooth has been an embarrassment to me as well as 1 lower tooth that is severely crowded in my mouth so it’s back more, making one of my clients (while I was a Cosmetologist) state to me, “wow, you have 2 sets of teeth”… nope just one set but one very crooked. With these two problems with my teeth, I refused a job offer to be a model when I was in my early 20’s as I could imagine the criticisms of my smile and I couldn’t afford to have that fixed myself.

And today, as I used my camcorder for a review on Joan and Mariah’s Reviews (it’s on YouTube, but I have to see if I can move it over to my new blog account there) I found myself re-taping myself talking as I kept seeing me put my head down and I never looked in the mirror and saw how really bad that tooth looked while talking with my head down. I about died when I saw this, and I just never looked in the mirror with my head down and my mouth open, so I was shocked and embarrassed. So as you can imagine, I re-taped and re-taped the video until I finally had one that my lower crowded/crooked tooth was less noticeable in it. Yes I admit it, still today these things bother me.

As you can see, as soon as I heard about Componeers I have been dreaming of a day when my husband and I (both on Social Security Disability) can possibly find a way of cutting down a few bills so I can afford to have my smile finally fixed, wouldn’t that be a great birthday gift since I am turning 50 this month? Well, it’s too soon for us to save for that, but maybe a mixture of Birthday and Christmas gift. 🙂 Wouldn’t that be cool?

They have more pictures and videos on their website… warning the video, although fascinating to me, made my husband (who has no teeth right now, from past radiation treatments for Non Hodgkins Lymphoma) was very squeamish when he saw the video on my laptop.
