packages, one necklace and one braclet by Future Oxygen

I am pleased to introduce you all to a great Eco Friendly Company, Future Oxygen, this company makes a line of jewelry, like I’ve never hear of before! I am very excited to have received a necklace and a bracelet from them and they are so cute, I really don’t want to take them to the next step as of yet. What is the next step? They grow into flowers or trees when you no longer want to wear them. How cool is that?future oxygen cross necklace

Here I am going to age myself but, back in the 70’s I used to make hemp necklaces with beads and I used macrame’ to make them decorative as well. This Jewelry brings me back to those days of the Art Fairs that my Parents had us in and selling my necklaces as well as dressing up as Raggedy Ann as I decorated balloons to wonder around and sell too… my parents kept us kids busy at these fairs. I would have loved to have these Eco Friendly beads back then, if only they had these beads back then and if only I could just buy these beads from them as well, for some of my creations today. Alas I diverge, but what fond memories!

All of Future Oxygen products are 100% biodegradable, even their packages. And another great thing is that their sales help children, the information about this can be found on their “Smile Exchange” area on their website.

These beads are so cute, the bracelet I received is a round smiley face braided hemp and the necklace is a really cool St. James like Cross on it. The Bracelet will grow a White Pine Tree and the Necklace will grow wild flowers! Nice! I have decided to grow the White Pine Tree for up in the Colorado Foothills where my parents can plant it once it’s grown enough by me to transplant.

I found them on YouTube and they have a great video telling you how to plant your Eco Wear.

Right now they are running a Free Shipping deal, for Earth Day (My Birthday BTW) of free shipping for any purchase $20 or over. You can read about that here: http://www.futureoxygen.us/earth-day-specials/

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Soda with Stevia The Delicious Zevia Brand Soda – Review and Giveaway

Logo for Zevia, the soda pop made with Stevia

Hi there everyone, just in time for those New Years Resolutions, I want to introduce you all to Zevia, the Natural Diet Soda Sweetened with Stevia! I was lucky enough to be invited to try out some Zevia for a review and giveaway! Yay!

I have to honestly say, I was very curious about this soda when I had seen it advertised this past Summer and I was interested in trying this soda to see if it lived up to the great things I had heard some people say about it online. So I was very happy when I was invited Zevia's Stevia Frog with words Sweetened with Steviarecently to try out the soda.

Let me give you some background information on Stevia. Below is quoted from Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stevia)

“The species Stevia rebaudiana, commonly known as sweetleaf, sweet leaf, sugarleaf, or simply stevia, is widely grown for its sweet leaves. As a sweetener and sugar substitute, stevia’s taste has a slower onset and longer duration than that of sugar, although some of its extracts may have a bitter or licorice-like aftertasteat high concentrations.

With its steviol glycoside extracts having up to 300 times the sweetness of sugar, stevia has garnered attention with the rise in demand for low-carbohydrate, low-sugar food alternatives. Because stevia has a negligible effect on blood glucose, it is attractive as a natural sweetener to people on carbohydrate-controlled diets.”

For more information on Stevia, please check out the wiki link above and the Stevia Info on Zevia.com.

Being the kind of person that has been on diets almost all of my life, with years on steroids for Lupus SLE, which can (and to me it did) cause you to gain a great deal of weight. I’ve read everything I can get my hands on about the natural ways to keep weight off, to diet, and of course it didn’t hurt to hear that Stevia was 300 times sweeter than Sugar. Well my at home experience with Stevia, 10 years ago, was not that good… however I still had high hopes for Stevia.Zevia's Mountain Dew called Zevia MountainI received a 6 pack of the Mountain Zevia, I admit I made a face when I saw what flavor I received as I would have picked any other flavor but this one to sample. With the thoughts of my ex, and his Mountain “D” Sodas that he craved, dancing in my head, I placed a few cans in my refrigerator. I must admit that it took about a week or more before I tried one of the sodas and I was pleasantly surprised with the taste, it pretty good… although I don’t care for anything even close to that Mountain “D” product.

I have to admit that I still have 2 cans of this 6 pack left, but it’s not Zevia’s fault, it’s the memories attached to the Mountain flavor sodas. What can I say? The sweetness is good and it tastes refreshing with that sweetener in it, so I approve of Zevia and will gladly pick up some other flavor for myself when I can get to the natural food stores. I really hope that my local grocery store too will pick up on the Zevia as a great alternative to the artificial sweeteners they sell for diet soda.

Now folks we can do better than that for you, how about a winner receives a coupon for a free 6 pack of Zevia, this way you can choose your flavor? Ok, ok, it’s not my idea, it’s from the wonderful folks at Zevia… Yay! 🙂

Zevia Ginger Root Beer Soda with SteviaI wish to thank Zevia for their kindness in sending my a 6 pack of their soda’s to try out, I know it’s not cheap to send something so heavy through the mail. Besides I didn’t think of requesting on flavor or another, and that is my fault, not yours Zevia… and low and behold you still managed to sell me on your soda sweetened with Stevia… I will be buying some at my local health food store soon! The sweetness wasn’t bitter like it was when I tried stevia sweetener packets a long time ago, I may try stevia again sometime soon!

OH And Folks, 2 more things before you go, drink you Zevia nice and cold in the can, it’s best very cold and drank right up! And Secondly… this Giveaway is US ONLY please… Thank you. 🙂

(((hugs))) and Happy Holidays,
