The title and Subtitle of the book really captured my attention. I’ve been a fan of collecting beauty secrets, old and new since I was a teenager. My collection grew significantly while studying Cosmetology as well as while I was a Cosmetologist. There are a bevy of beauty hints and tips that I’ve garnered from as far back as the 1940’s thru today, but I never sought out beauty mentioned in the Bible!
How wonderful a prospect it was to take the chance to be chosen for reviewing this book by Rachelle Weisberger! Rachelle is an Artist, Cosmetologist (makeup artist, and skin care specialist), we have a lot in common. I wanted to get to read her book as well as glean what I can from her expertise, experience and get to know her some through her writing. 🙂 Obviously I was very lucky and received a book for review here!
Now, I must admit that I have not yet completed the book, but I can say that when I have time to read it I am totally enthralled with the contents! This is the absolute perfect subject matter for those interested in the bible and what it has said about beauty (from cosmetics to perfumes, mentions of ingredients and so forth) as well as those who look to add to their collection of beauty know how from an expert.
I love the references to the bible, including where the information she’s gathered can be found in the bible. And her modern beauty tips are expert indeed, I feel a sort of kinship with Rachelle as I continue reading. My notes, I admit are really sparse as I find myself so absorbed in the reading that I forget that this was for a review and I’ve totally lost track of time while reading as well.
This book is going to be a welcome companion to my beauty book collection! I am loving this even more than any of my beauty books so far, mix in bible, ancient secrets and some modern beauty and you have a sure fire hit here!
Thank you so much Rachelle for giving me the honor of reading your book! God Bless you and maybe someday, when you are in Colorado we can meet for coffee someday… I would LOVE that! 🙂
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
