Hi everyone, I was invited to view a site called PrintRunner.com do a review of their website in exchange for offering a Giveaway of their business cards. I too will get the same as the prize winner in business cards for this review, pretty cool as my husband has just started his own review blog and he could use some business cards as he ramps up for reviews and giveaways in the near future.
The first thing I noticed when I went to visit their site the first time was their list of the most popular products to print, it includes Stickers! Oh how fun would that be for handing out with candy for Halloween? Placing a cute little Halloween Character on it, nothing to frightening for the little ones.
I then clicked on the top of their page where it shows all the their products, this is the most complete list I ever saw online. Clicked on the stickers in there to see what we can do with their set up, you can upload your own design, I started with the circle cut stickers and noted that for these fancy rolls it does cost a bit much with the options I chose so I went back and let it go to the default, standard cut, flat width and Height both set at 2″, 250 stickers, full color, $24.72. Nice and again we can upload our own pictures.
Hey it’s a thought for Halloween, we had so many Trick or Treaters last year, but I was more than ready for them with tons of candy. The thing is, that I refuse to buy candy that we wouldn’t personally love to eat here and this is a sure to defeat anyone’s diet. I am terrible when it comes to chronic pain that isn’t currently controlled well and trying to keep my weight down the sweet tooth hits and makes it so tough with self-control. lol Anyhow I think that this would be a great addition to the candy, less candy to buy with all the young ones in the neighborhood and less of a risk of left overs to tempt me. 🙂
Now I ventured to their set up for the business cards, I at this point understood that we can upload designs…. I will be playing with my own images from Joan and my blog to work with their business cards and see how user-friendly it is to use.
Since these are the business cards we will be giving away to a lucky winner and the same cards he will get for his new blog too, I will play with the specifications for the prize.
Here are the Specs for the Prize Giveaway:Business Card Size and Style Business Cards: 2×3.5 (Standard) Quantity: 250 Colors: 4/4 Color Both Sides Paper: 14 pt. UV Coating on Front, 14 pt. UV Coating on both sides, Proof: NONE Rounded Corners: NO Ready To Ship In: 3 Business Days *Giveaway is open to US Residents only, ages 18 years old and above.
After changing the above to the prize specs, I chose to “Design your File Online” and clicked “Start Designing”.
I noticed on the top of the design area that you can save your designs if you login. So I signed up. Signing up is quite easy a little pop up box appeared and I entered the information asked for and I was instantly logged in.
I started to upload my design, lucky for me it showed an exclamation point that notified me that my saved file may show up pixellated due to the low resolution I had saved it in and I then had a choice, either find my original (which is on the desktop computer that I seldom use), resize this copy of the picture to a smaller one or choose another picture. I chose another higher quality picture to play with. I dragged and dropped the new picture to the card, uploaded another picture and could place that in the card as well… at this point I am just having fun… dragging and dropping in pictures and adjusting the placement of the text, the font and font color and size. I also changed the background color, trying out several different choices until I found one closest to my pictures background colors.
I am impressed there are so many options on this site for creating your card online and it’s so much easier than using Photoshop to create it, that is a joy to work with and your design can look so very unique. If you do not have pictures that you wish to use on your business cards, they do have stock pictures for you to use as well.
I saved my design under my name for it, logged out and now clearing my cache (to make sure I can still get to it with my cache cleared) logged back in, clicked on My Account. Under Saved Designs, I clicked on Edit Saved Designs and sure enough my design was saved and I could edit it and whats very nice is that instead of Editing the Saved Design I could have cloned it to make one a copy to keep and the other one to edit, saving my work to this point. Nice
Very nice set up on PrintRunner for designing your own customized Business Cards. I am sold with their site, the ease of their user friendly format for making your design on line. I would recommend using PrintRunner.com for your Print Business Cards. I do not have real business cards as of yet, for a review. However their site looks impressive and I love that you can easily design and play with your placements right on their site. The only problem I would have with this? Is that I could spend hours and hours just creating many customized designs as it is so easy and a lot of fun!
PrintRunner.com even has a fantastic sale going on now, the sale is on posters, banners and flyers. Take advantage of it now before the sale ends on Oct. 31st.
Now for your chance to win the prize (as mentioned above), please obey these rules (& the rules/instructions contained in the Rafflecopter Application) for this PrintRunner.com Giveaway:
