Howdy everyone, this is a long time awaited for review here. But fortunately I’ve seen these hats being worn here in Colorado all year round. And thankfully Kim of Kim’s Crochet Creations the creator of these wonderful hats, who has been so patient with me as my husband and I went through all the drama of his being attacked and dealing with all those broken bones etc.
Anyhow, I was so very happy to receive this lovely blue slouch hat to wear, nothing looks as good on red hair as greens or blues do! Well that’s my humble opinion anyway. Now this blue isn’t just plain old blue this one has some pretty silver in it as well, so lovely!
I am a crocheter and I have to say, she does beautiful work, not too loose in the stitches nor too tight. And the pattern she uses hangs just beautifully on my head. Now at first glance I was thinking berate and put it on wrong but the reaction from my husband was how very cute it was, even though I was wearing it wrong. I suppose I am showing my age by admitting to this. lol Glad that I wasn’t the only one who saw the hat and thought of another way to wear it, my Mother did as well… ok well she saw me wearing mine first as I waited for the Guys to stop talking (Mom and Dad were visiting us) long enough for me to get my picture taken…She told me that she thought it was a snood but then it was worn with your hair tucked in. You know what, that would be perfect if my hair were longer again. 🙂
Wearing this lovely Crochet hat correctly and I am as stylish as the kids that I see wearing these. How did I figure out how to wear this correctly? I saw the lovely hats being worn on on TV and Movies and because I had the hat it suddenly struck this old gals brain… “Oh, that is how to wear that hat.” lol
Once I put this lovely hat on correctly I realized that first off, I forgot I had it on as it fits just right and is so very comfortable. And secondly that once I caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror and took the hat off I was pleased to realize that it didn’t really give me hat hair, at least not that I could readily see! Yay… I just love this hat!
Kim, thank you so much you two for sharing this slouchy hat with me and allowing me plenty of time with the complications here, and giving me time to deal with all that entailed… I really appreciate it. I also wish to thank my Dad for taking my pictures for me, he’s a good sport for letting me put him to work while he was here. 🙂
